Sunbury Manor School Invited Back to Prestigious Wimbledon Ball Boy and Girl Programme

Sunbury Manor School is delighted to announce that it has once again been invited to take part in the highly prestigious Wimbledon Ball Boy and Girl (BBG) Programme, providing students with an incredible opportunity to train for a chance to work at the world-famous 2027 Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

The invitation is a testament to the dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism shown by Sunbury Manor students who have participated in the programme in previous years. The BBG Programme is recognised as one of the most respected sporting volunteer programmes in the world, with successful candidates playing a vital role during The Championships at Wimbledon.

Students currently in Year 9 and Year 10 are encouraged to get involved and attend weekly training sessions, which will take place every Friday after school. Throughout the training programme, students will develop the key skills required to become a successful Wimbledon Ball Boy or Girl, including agility, concentration, teamwork, communication and professionalism.

Training will begin at Sunbury Manor School, where students will learn and practise the techniques required at the highest level of tennis. In January, selected students may be invited to attend official trials at the AELTC Training Centre in Raynes Park, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of Wimbledon coaches and assessors.
